Actors need only attend one audition date. Cold reads from the script will be provided.

• 5 Male Roles | 8 Female Roles
• Kids and Teens of all experience levels are welcome to audition. 

🗓️ First Rehearsal:

• Monday, January 26th – 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
• Parents are asked to attend a brief overview at the start of rehearsal. If unavailable, we’ll provide a recap at pickup.

🎩 About the Play:

• Whole Latte Love is a magical coffee shop where each of Isla’s special blends gives customers a temporary magical power. When her landlord demands three months of back rent, Isla hires Shelly to cover while she searches for a solution. But Shelly accidentally mixes up the magical coffees, causing hilarious chaos among the customers. Now Isla must save her shop before the secrets—and the silliness—boil over.

You want to ACT in a play? We're ready for you!

Our Structure...

We practice on Monday and Thursday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
We have set days and extra practices that will be scheduled from time to time. 
We will set a day to be off book. Off book means you are no longer allowed to read from your script, and you must know your lines by memory.
We work with many schedules, but have certain practices that are required for you to attend. These include:

• Dress Rehearsal
• Tech Day
• First Practice
• Costume Day

How this works...

1. Fill out the Audition form below.
2. You'll be invited to our next Audition. 
   1. If your curious when that will be you can check out this page: Our Season
3. ​You'll be required to cold read (and sing if it's a musical).
4. At the Audition, you'll be given the packet for your parental guardian to fill out or we'll send you a digital docusign.
5. After the Audition, by the weekend, you'll be emailed your role and more information.
6. You'll attend next week your first rehearsal. 
7. Parents are required to attend the end of the first practice for a Parent Run Through.
   1. The PRT is required, a guardian must attend to understand all expectations.
8. All documents must be returned by the end of the first practice. 

FAQs

may i audition if i am 'almost' old enough?

​You must be the appropriate age to participate in the production on or before the performance dates. Ages for ACTors in the Main Season are 8-19. Ages for ACTors in ACT sr are 13-19.

​How can I prepare for Auditions?

Actors can prepare by being familiar with the characters from the production. Actors will be asked to portray these characters in a scene from the play or act out certain situations and/or emotions from the play. If the production is a musical, the director will request each actor to sing a song of their choosing.  Individual songs are sometimes available for purchase from iTunes.  If possible, please purchase & bring your chosen song both with and without vocals.  During the actual auditions, we encourage actors to display confidence, to follow directions given by the director, and to have fun!!

What paperwork do I need to fill out to Audition?

Audition applications are filled out online either before the date of auditions or day of 30 minutes before. Please arrive early if you need to fill out an application. We will have Area Children's Theatre Volunteers ready to help. 

​What is the Audition process like?

We will begin as close to 4 o'clock as possible. We will play some games, read through some of the script dramatically and have fun!
